Even many doctors suggest to avoid all gluten contain food in your diet to protect yourself from thyroid disorders.

Coffee is the major source of caffeine in a person’s diet. Consuming it in smaller amount will not harm your body but excessive consumption of coffee results in experiencing severe health issues.

According to studies, caffeine has negative impact on thyroid of a human body, especially if he/she has thyroid disorder.

Your thyroid hormone produces a hormone called triiodothyronine and thyroxin which often called as T3 and T4. These two hormones work together for regulating temperature, metabolism and heart rate.

So, insufficient amount of T3 hormone often puts you in danger.

Vegetables like broccoli, kale, sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard green and turnips etc can cause problem with your thyroid.

These vegetables are often called as goitrogenic foods that cause enlargement of your goiter.

Consuming these vegetables on regular basis will also slow down the functioning of thyroid and make it difficult for your body to use iodine. Necessary mineral and building block of thyroid hormones.

5. Soy Products

Soy contains estrogen, the hormone which interferes with the body’s natural ability to use thyroid hormone. Including soy in your regular diet will not allow the hormone to be used which is produced by thyroid gland. So, it’s better to avoid all soy products and limit the intake when soy is unavoidable sometimes.

6. Fruits Like Strawberries And Peaches

Not only vegetables you also need to avoid fruits like strawberries and peaches. These fruits will interfere with the absorption of iodine for proper thyroid hormone production and inhibit the effectiveness of hypothyroidism medications. Consuming strawberries and peaches in your regular routine also results in poor functioning of thyroid hormone.

7. Fatty Foods

If you are taking medications of thyroid disorder, then you must avoid fatty foods in your diet. Fatty foods disrupt the absorption of these medications and interfere directly with the thyroids ability to naturally produce thyroid hormone.

Try to avoid all fried and fast foods which also include high fat content meat, cheese, butter, mayonnaise, margarine and other unnecessary fat sources.
