Foods That You Should Never be Mixed With Popular Supplements

Supplements will help to restore the body energy to a place of balance. It makes much easier to get necessary nutrients to build muscles and even give you an advantage and enhance your training with a good diet.

But, we should never mix some foods with supplements which are very dangerous to our health.

Following is the list of food and the supplements that should never be taken together.

  1. Foods with Vitamin A, C and Iron Supplements:

If you are taking Iron supplements in your regular diet, it maintain all the important processes of your body like it helps to transport oxygen in the blood and it also plays a vital role in proper functioning of hemoglobin.

But, if you eat food rich in vitamin A, C and iron, in high amount along with the supliments then these vitamins in your body may worsen the condition and side effects of taking iron supplements.

  1.  Fish and Omega 3s:

As we know fish has many nutrients and vitamins and keeps us healthy. Omega 3s is the major fatty acid which can found in fish.

But in recent studies, it has been proven that more than one gram of omega 3s in a day may increase the risk of bleeding for both in men and women,especially those with hemophilia, leukemia, and the people who are taking blood thinning medications.

  1. Soy Products and Thyroid Medications:

If you are taking thyroid medications then better be careful with the soy products. As soy products may help you to reduce cholesterol when they are mixed with low fat diet.

These are also dangerous when they are mixed with thyroid supplements; it prevents the body from absorbing thyroid medications.

So if you are taking soy products, take the supplements after 4 hours of consuming your food.

  1. Calcium Rich Foods and Calcium Supplements:

Calcium plays a major role in maintaining healthy bones and muscles. But, taking too much calcium may lead to a condition called hypocalcaemia where the calcium wrecks havoc in the body.

If you are taking high dose of calcium supplement to improve the condition of your body along with the foods which are rich in calcium, then your body usually excrete the excess calcium.

However, sometimes if you have any health issues like hormonal imbalance, calcium stays in your body untreated. Then it leads to conditions like mental fogginess, osteoporosis, kidney stones and failure and even nervous system complications.

  1. Dairy foods and Antibiotics:

If you are taking antibiotics in your regular routine, then better don’t mix it with dairy products such as milk, cheese, etc.

Because these dairy products make the supplement to prevent the absorption of medication attaching itself to antibiotic and it stays in the intestine until the next bowler movement.

  1. Brazil Nuts and Selenium:

If you are taking selenium supplement then do avoid eating Brazil nuts in large amounts, because the supplement mixed with Brazil nuts may lead to hair loss or even chronic liver disease.

Even people who are not taking selenium supplements should enjoy of having Brazil nuts in only small amounts.
